Whichever channel your prospects or existing customers prefer, this add-on will make sure you get everything into Lime CRM. Userlike offers the possibility to handle inbound messaging across several channels. Please read the Add-on's FAQ for more general questions about add-ons. Limechat is a great alternative to Colloquy and MacIrssi if you prefer simplicity. This documentation discusses everything specific to Lime Chat. To kick and ban somebody from the channel, you would need to /ban and then /kick them which is inconvenient.Īlso, banning only bans the username instead of their hostmask, so bypassing a ban is a simple matter of switching usernames.īesides these, I have no complaints. One last thing, the /kb and /kickban commands don't work. To play, you'd have to switch clients which seems silly considering how common this command is. If you're familiar with the IRC game STG (Song Title Game), you'll know why. I'd also like to request a simple now playing command for iTunes and/or last.fm. Irssi (and the OS X port, MacIrssi) is capable of doing this with a script, but since there isn't a scripting system for Limechat, I can't write it myself. I would love an option in the preferences that would let notices bypass the console and appear in the main chat window, so I can hide the console completely.

When you close the channel list before it fully loaded it starts displaying channels in the stats windows which also is annoying! Overall 3/5 to make it better in the future!! And I appreciate that its FREE!! Thanks a lot Developer.ĮDIT: cmd+f does not bring up text search anywhere on the app, status window, channel or PM.

I noticed when you view the channel list for the server, topics show the code if it has colors, which is weird if you ask me.

Although its missing many features, I noticed it has "DCC Send" when you right click on a nickname but its always highilted and can't actually click it!!? I tried downloading DCC in other hand and it works great, but sadly, it doesnt support RESUME :(( !! Also wish it had more option in the nicklist menu like, kick/ban, kick ban/reason, give half op and more stuff!! Also I dont get why the defualt theme leaves empty space on the left side of nicks that type in the channels or PM's, wish it was just normal and showed time or whatever, as some people have small displays. Its simple uniqe and nice! fun also, actually.

I must admit this free client is better than many PAID ones. Needs a way to throttle or stagger auto join, if you have too many channels auto connect the server may think you are fooding, I get 1/2 my channels triggering me to #overflow on freenode, have to join them one at a time manually after I login.ĭespite all that though, it's still the best IRC client I've found for the mac. Other issues (may be fixed in 4.47?) include slowdown as scrollbacks get bigger after weeks of being connected, and I've also caught it using over 40 gb of ran on a few occasions when it went loopy.

Please record server IP in keychain entries (in addition to hash as you are now) and also give me a check box I can tick to view the password in the app. Keychain entries DO NOT provide server name, just a hash, leaving "server" as limechat, that's not helpful. Not sure why 4.47 doesn't see them in my keychain.

It doesn't let you see your passwords though so got them out of my keychain. Thankfully I kept a copy of the old app, was able to launch it. I just ugraded from 4.42 to 4.47, and it appear to have changed the prefs files, my server list reverted to what it was over a yeara go and all my passwords were gone.
